FDCC AGM
I would just like to remind everyone that this years Annual General Meeting is fast approaching.
The club needs your help as we have a number of committee members giving up their posts this year. Without members helping on the committee we would not have a club. Please think hard about becoming a committee member and giving up just a few hours of your time next year. It's not hard and can even be quite good fun. The members standing down will help with any questions or problems the new committee members have.
The Current (Hon) Secretary, Judges Secretary, and Programme Secretary are all standing down this year but you can of course stand for any position. Voting forms have already been emailed out but if you want one they will be available at club nights or from Carol.
Please do think about this.

The lines below were taken from the KCPA website
DO YOU "JUST BELONG"
Are you an active member,
The kind that would be missed,
Or are you just contented
That your name is on the list?
Do you attend the meetings
And mingle with the crowd
Or do you sit alone
And moan both long and loud?
Do you take an active part
To help our club along?
Or are you satisfied to be
The kind to "just belong"?
Do you ever lend a hand
To set things up each week
Or leave the work for just a few
And talk about the clique?
There's a great programme scheduled
That means success when done
And it can be accomplished
With the help of everyone.
So attend the meetings regularly,
And help with hand and heart,
Don't be just a member
But take an active part.
Think this over, member,
Are we right or are we wrong?
Are YOU an active member?
Or do you "just belong"?

Shepherd Neame 3 Way Battle
Well firstly we would like to thank our Judge for the night John Wigmore FRPS, MPAGB, APAGB, EFIA, for his great comments and Photoshop advice.
Always a pleasure to have John down to FDCC.
Secondly a big thanks to Sittingbourne and Sheppy for taking part. What a great club battle this is.
I was a little surprised not to see more FDCC members tonight; it is a great opportunity for seeing different styles of work.
As for scores. I'm very pleased to say the home team won. Well done Faversham..

The following points were agreed at the Committee meeting on 3rd March 2011.
* Anyone who received a trophy last year, please return it to Tony Gostling as soon as possible to be engraved for the next recipient in time for the Annual Dinner.
* Subject to approval by members at the AGM - The maximum print size limit will be lifted from the B Class photos with effect from the beginning of next season. As all members have access to printing facilities via the web as well as professional labs, it was felt this restriction was no longer valid or necessary. Maximum mount size will remain at 40 by 50cm.
* Although the Hall is available next week, 9th March, Ash Wednesday, parking will be unavailable. Weather dependant, a practical night shoot may be held. Please watch the web site for updates.
* Due to lack of response, Tuition Nights will be cancelled for the rest of this season. They will resume next season if requested by the members and enough people attend to make it financially viable.
* Depending on weather conditions, evening photo shoots may be held. All members please watch the web site for updates.

Tuesday 1st March Tuition Night ~CANCELLED~
We have CANCELLED the Tuesday night tuition as there were not enough
people to make it viable for either the club or Jittermugs.
DO NOT GO TO JITTERMUGS as it will be closed and there will be no one else there.
