Happy New Year

Hi everyone. Hope you have all had a great Christmas.

I would just like to remind you all that there will not be a Tuesday practical evening this coming Tuesday at Jittermugs, as we have not been able to arrange it  due to the Xmas break.

Secondly I also want to mention the the coming Wednesday will be a demonstration by top Photoshop guru Gavin Hoey http://www.gavtrain.com/ those of you who have seen him before will know that this is certain to be a great evening.

This year Gavin won the title of Adobe International Photoshop Evangelist, so certainly knows what he is talking about.

XMAS QUIZ NIGHT Dec 15th

Hi, Just a quick reminder that next week is our Xmas quiz night, and I hope to see you all there. Last year was great fun and I will be doing my best to make sure we have a different winning team this time. :)

Sue Flood will be our quizmaster again and there will a (no expense spent) prize for the best team. If you are coming can you try to email Carol at fdccsec@btinternet.com so we can make sure we get the right amount of food and drink arranged.

Don't forget to bring a small raffle prize of about £5 or less if you can.

December 7th at Jittermugs

We still have several places for the learning evening on Dec 7th at Jittermugs. We have been asked by many members of the club to provide these informal evenings to help those of you that want to expand your knowledge. We can help in any area of photography from total beginners questions to advanced camera and processing techniques. If you are thinking of buying new equipment or have problems with your computer we have experts in all areas.

So don't be afraid to come along and ask for help. If you want to come along, even if it's just for a chat and a coffee please contact Carol at fdccsec@btinternet.com

Practical Evening 8th December.

Hi, this weeks meeting is a practical, so please remember to bring your cameras.
The subject will be "still life" so a lens that can focus to near objects will help. Additionally if you have and ideas you want to explore or any props you want to bring to take pics of that would be great. We hope to set up at least three separate areas to shoot so there should be time and space for everyone.

Due to the current bad weather, the meeting for Wednesday,  1st December 2010 has been cancelled.

Unfortunately our speaker cannot  make it due to the snow. However we have arranged for him to visit us later in the year.
As the conditions down to the hall can be dangerous we have decided to cancel this weeks meeting.
This will leave us without the opportunity to collect names for the learning evening at Jittermugs in Preston Street. If you would like to come next Tuesday 7th Dec. at 7:45 please let Carol know as soon as possible.
